Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University
Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University is a popular university situated in Uttarakhand, and it was started as a state university of Uttarakhand vide Sate Government notification No 270/XXXVI(3)/2012/48(1)/2012 dtd 19th October 2012. The notification is the continuation to the amendment of erstwhile Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Uttarakhand Vishwavidhyalaya Act. 2011 (Uttarakhand Act No 22 of 2011) and it notified by State Government vide No 357/XXXVI(3)/201 1/57(1)/2010 on 4th November 2011. The main purpose of the University is to provide higher education to the people of Garhwal and promote them to a higher level position. This university is the result of many people’s hopes and aspiration for the development. The people wanted to get rid of problems like economic and social backwardness, geographic and environmental constraints, re-assertion of the cultural identity of the local natural and human resources for development.
